Due to the quality of "Favorite Christmas Destinations" I was left to draw the giveaway out of a hat as it was too hard to decide. So a random giveaway was achieved.

Hi Marg,
I have spent a number of Christmases overseas in exciting places, but to be honest the most special Christmas was the year before last. I grew up in a house in Rossmoyne, and every year we would have a family Christmas at our house with my Grandmother and all our extended family. (My Mum has 7 siblings so it was always very large!)Two years ago, my husband Petar and I, with our 2 kids Sasha and Max, had the opportunity to move back into my old family home, which Mum and Dad still owned (they had built down the back of the block 15 years ago and had been renting the front house out). That first Christmas back I was keen to have Christmas Day at my place, so we had the whole family over for lunch. It was very special for me to have everyone back in the place I felt we all belonged, and my only regret was that Grandma had since passed away. Mum and I could imagine her in the kitchen, passing over the gravy, and fussing that the veges were done just right:I try now, with my own family to recreate that special sense of connectedness, especially at Christmas, and hope that I am giving my children the gift of the memories and experiences that I so treasure. Merry Christmas,
Lisa Nikolich

The best christmas experience away from home for me was on a trip with World Expeditions, I think we were in Nepal at the time or could have been India. It was with a great bunch of people and really enjoyed the experience.

Making a snowman in Ardrishaig on the west coast of Scotland on Christmas Day with 21 month old Caitlin. It was minus 21C, so we had to keep running inside to warm up by the fire. The snowman had a carrot nose, chocolates for eyes, and twigs for arms. He lasted 6 days! :)
