MANDODESIGNS INSPIRATION (Mandella)

The inspiration for my design tag came from one of my best friends, Mandella. Two years ago, only days before Christmas, we returned from a holiday to collect our 2 cats from the boarding kennels at our vet. There in the cat adoption centre stood one lonely little black and white kitten.

Our eyes instantly met and we connected. He had the most beautiful magical, mystical eyes I have ever seen. He looked deep into our souls and we knew instantly he was to become part of our family, a wonderful Christmas gift to us all.

We named him Mandella and he immediately became the centre of all attention. As all young kittens do, Mandella enticed play out of our 15 year old cat, annoyed our 8 year old cat and created havoc on, and in, all things new in our recently built home.

Mandella is a constant companion and friend, especially after the loss of our beautiful 16 year old cat Ngane last May. Somehow Mandella helped ease the sadness of our loss. I just need to look into the eyes of Mandella and know everything is ok. He helps to keep me centred, helps to believe in myself and what I do. Truly an inspiration in the representation of my jewellery branding. All this from a cat? Look deeply into the eyes of your pet and receive more than you can imagine.
